Here is what I have up to this point regrading missions. Hopefully this is a good starting point.
One of the core values at Willow Bend is that we are Missional. WiIllow Bend Church seeks opportunities to propel the gospel locally and across the globe. We partner with mission works that are involved in the discipleship model given by Jesus in Matthew 28 to go and make disciples, to baptize and teach them to obey and observe all that Jesus taught.
Each year we also have a team of about 10-15 people that go on a mission trip to County Donegol, Ireland. While there we seek out individuals that could potentially be connected and involved in a discipleship process with our Ireland national missionaries.
We encourage engagement in missions through giving, prayer, and participation, all being a necessary part of the gospel process. Our financial partnerships are funded through individuals giving as God has lead them through our missions beyond their normal giving and through a tithe from the general budget. We encourage opportunities to get to know our missionaries so people can pray for them with knowledge and understanding. We encourage our members to engage in sharing the gospel in a relational environment.
