 brown alford |
Brown is an integral part of the CR worship team as the Ministry Leader. He is also a small group leader and a step study leader. Brown struggled through his parents divorce as a teenager, escaping through alcohol and sex. Then, as an adult, he experienced his own divorce, losing his job and being diagnosed as "chemically imbalanced" all in the same year. After beginning to attend CR and becoming involved in a step study, Brown "hit a wall" in lesson 3 - the lesson was about hope and he felt as if he had absolutely none. Regardless, Brown continued his step study and attending the open share group; slowly he began to notice a change. He now has hope because of God's work in his life through CR. |

Daryl is a step study leader, sponsor, teacher on Monday nights and makes himself readily available to help wherever possible. Daryl has been involved in CR at wb for over 3 years and is celebrating recovery in the areas of codependence, anger and eating issues. After completing his first step study, Daryl realized his was no longer a journey to be embraced alone. He has learned that hope for success comes from Jesus Christ, sharing life in friendship with others, and seeking opportunities to serve wherever possible. |
